Night Market

Night market represents the culture of Malaysia and also known as ‘Pasar Malam’ by locals. The night market is popular with tourists and locals citizen because it has incredible choices of food and beverages with reasonable price. Night market which located in Taman Johor Jaya is one of the largest night markets in the Johor Bahru area.


Location: 40, Jalan Dedap 13, Taman Johor Jaya, 81100 Johor Bahru, Johor.
Operation hours: 5:00 p.m to 12:00 a.m. (Tuesday only)

Penang Assam Laksa and Cendol
We went to the night market to having a bolt of tasty Penang Assam Laksa because it is balancing with sourness and spiciness. Due to hot weather and smoke environment, cendol is a suitable for us to quench and calm our throat after having a Penang Assam Laksa.


Street Snacks
Night market has sold the street snacks from three different nationalities Malaysian which are Malay, Indian and Chinese such as ‘keropok ikan’ which is traditional Malay fish cracker, traditional cake (kueh) like mooncake and tortoise cake from the Chinese and various types of Indian biscuit.



Avocado Fruits Milkshake
There has a new stall which selling the fresh squeezed of an avocado milkshake. After testing, we decided to purchase 2 bigger size bottle of the avocado milkshake which is RM10 for each, because it is very tasty and worth it to buy.



Japanese skewers (Yakitori)
When we go through the night market, we are attracted by the appearance of grilled skewers. There have many choices of skewers such as skewered beef or chicken and vegetables. It is the comfort for us, so we can enjoying food while wandering about the streets.


Variety of stalls
There have the variety of stalls such as rice dumpling, Taiwanese milk tea, Taiwanese snacks foods, seafood stall and others. Therefore, it was easier for the shoppers or worker who work at there to making the dinner dishes decision.


Hand-made Chinese cruller and Malays griddle pancake
Chinese cruller also knew as “Youtiao”, it is the food that freshly baked and sells instantly to the customers. Malays griddle pancake also known as “Apam balik” which many flavors corn or chocolate and can be crispy and soft fluffy types of pancake.
